It is funded through a private Endowment donated by the Hon. Amb. Chief Dr. Iro, J.P.
The Scholarship on one part is awarded annually to intelligent but needy students of higher institutions in Nigeria.
The Post-Apprenticeship Scheme on the other part empowers Youths in setting up their own businesses. A large number of students have benefited from the scheme since its inception.

THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION
The LDI Rural Women Empowerment Scheme, is a capacity enhancement program funded through a private endowment donated by the initiator and name giver of the scheme Lolo Dr. (Mrs.) Doris Iro. The program is designed to empower rural dwelling women in Africa with special interest in Nigeria through distribution of material gifts and micro financial grants to enable the poor rural women start up their own small and medium sized business outfits so as to be able to sustain themselves and their respective families. A large number of beneficiaries have been recorded under the scheme since its inception in 1994 (then as a direct private initiative before THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION came on board).

The PDI Trust Fund for Accident Victims in Africa is private trust fund established by the members and associates of the Board of Trustees of THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION on the occasion of the one year anniversary of a ghastly motor accident which the name giver and patron of the endowment Prince David Uche Iro survived in Nigeria.
The Trust fund is aimed at providing material and financial support to the less privileged accident victims in Nigeria. The sponsors and promoters of this trust fund were shocked and highly saddened to experience first hand during the period of hospitalization of Prince David at different hospitals in Nigeria, how so many less privileged accident victims die on a daily basis as a result of poverty, lack of proper awareness and most of the times too due to inadequate technical know how and equipment on the side of the hospitals.
Apart from assisting less privileged accident victims, it is also aimed at helping the hospitals and other health care service providers source international technical partners
with the view towards providing the lacking necessary equipments for rapid response to accident victims

THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION
The PLI Endowment Fund for the Girl Child Education in Africa, is a special endowment donated by the name giver Princess Elisabeth Iro.
The scheme is designed for and geared towards the support of the girl child education in Africa. The scheme channels funds into the empowerment of the Girl Child through educational sponsorships and grants. Under the motto " Educate a girl Child and guarantee the future of a nation", free Mentor-ships as well as Guidance and Counseling are offered to help the girl child remain focused and become a responsible adult who will in turn contribute immensely towards nation building. The scheme aims at addressing the dichotomy which exist between the enrollment rate between boys and girls in schools in different African countries.
